1. November 27th and 28th: Performance Polynesian Dances

On november the 27th and 28th the Mundo Etnico Foundation will present an interesting series of dances from Polynesia with co-operation of dancegroup Faka Polinisia, children's dancegroup Hava Bemachol, music ensemble Ka Wela Ana and guests. During that program they will present their latest material, the DVD and bookseries FAKA PASIFIKA: the pacific way. The presentation will take place in Tilburg in the CVA (Centrum voor Amateurkunst).

2. FAKA PASIFIKA: DVDs and books with Pacific-dances

In november 2004 a unique product has seen the light. In cooperation with tens of individuals and organisations Mundo Étnico worked on the project: three instructional DVDs on which there are 100 dances from the Pacific area for children as well as adults.Most of these dances are being performed by (members) of the Pacific Dance-ensemble Faka Polinisia.The three DVDs are accompanied by three books in English, containing lyrics, descriptions of the dances, translations, scores and background information.Prices and other information you can find in the CD / DVD shop. 3. CD Vela Vela! 

A CD with 31 new dances from the South Pacific for children and adults. For the first time this CD includes dances from Tokelau, taught to us by Te Vaka vocalist Sulata Foa‘i. Other new items include a “metal” version of a Tahitian otea (dance type); the Heemskerk Polka-Koru, an intercultural mix of Dutch dancing with Maori elements; Boti Kuru, a slapping dance from the island of Rabi; children’s dances from the island of Pukapuka; plus other dance songs from Maori New Zealand, Hawai‘i, Niue.
